Tybee Island Lighthouse

Georgia’s tallest and oldest lighthouse showcases one of the most coveted views on Tybee Island. Although this historic landmark closes daily around 5:30pm, they open their doors for a small amount of visitors to watch the sunset from a bird eye’s view. These sunset tours are only offered a few times a year, so be sure to snag your tickets early!

Fisherman's Walk Pier

It may be Tybee’s smaller and lesser known pier, but the Fisherman’s Walk Pier provides an up close perspective of the beautiful sunsets off Tybee’s Back River Beach. Located off Chatham Avenue, this pier is easily accessible by wheelchair and offers plenty of parking. Take in the quiet surroundings and watch as kayaks and boats skim the water nearby.

Pull up to this local hangout by car or by boat and grab a front row seat on one of Tybee's best patios. Whether hosting a group or a romantic dinner for two, A-J’s Dockside Restaurant is a favorite among visitors and locals. Perfectly positioned on Tybee’s Back River, you can watch the sun go down behind the marsh grass. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins! They are known to hang out around their docks right around dusk.
