5 Reasons Why You’ll Want To Get Married At This Tybee Island Wedding Chapel

Choosing a venue for your big day can be tricky. Whether you’re tying the knot in your hometown or having a destination wedding, location is everything. Luckily, getting married at the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel is a dreamy choice. Here’s why:

1.  It’s famous!

Built for Miley Cyrus’s “The Last Song,” Disney gifted this chapel to the Tybee Island Historical Society who moved it to its current location after filming wrapped. One of movie’s most pivotal scenes features the wedding chapel as the Baptist church that catches fire (don’t worry – it’s since been repaired!).

2. It’s so close to the beach!

Is there anything more romantic than sneaking off for a barefoot walk after saying “I do”? The Tybee Island Wedding Chapel is just a quick jaunt away from the beach, so newlyweds can enjoy a private moment after the ceremony.

3. The ballroom is fit for royalty.

Appointed with chandeliers, archways and a grandiose stairway entrance, this ballroom is anything but plain. It’s spacious and well-lit, and it’s even equipped with a huge retractable projector screen and large kitchen for caterers.

4. The grounds are waterfront.

Switch it up with a few photos in front of the lush marshlands located directly behind the chapel. It’s like having two venues in one!

5. Did we mention the chapel is dreamy?

Reminiscent of a seaside chapel, the visible beams and tall windows stream in tons of glorious, natural light. The double doors make for a grand entrance, too.
